News roundup: Fan club events scheduled for April and a new art book

A new book is due for release next month: Sengoku Basara Art Works

Listings for a mysterious new art book based on Sengoku Basara have surfaced recently at Amazon Japan, AmiAmi and CD Japan. Sengoku Basara Art Works is scheduled for release on 25th February 2015 priced at ¥2,138 courtesy of Takarajimasha, and Amazon has placed it in their game strategy guide category for some reason. According to the brief description, it will include illustrations and descriptions of the characters appearing in the games up to Sengoku Basara 4 as part of a big push for the series this year following Basara Matsuri.

It's likely that other import-friendly bookstores will list this very soon as well.

More limited edition Basara Matsuri 2015 merchandise is unveiled

Additional items have been added to the page of special Basara Matsuri merchandise for visitors to next month's event in Tokyo.

A Sengoku Basara 4 thermo bottle (Thermos) covered in all forty characters' image phrases for ¥2,000:

A 20x115cm muffler towel for ¥2,000:

A sixteen-page Sengoku Basara 4 postcard book for ¥1,000:

A Sengoku Basara 4 tote bag featuring the silhouettes of all forty characters for ¥3,000:

Eight different oversized 'big uchiwa' fans for ¥700 each (there are different designs on the front and back):

Hmm, there are fan designs for Motonari, Sasuke, Hanbee and Shikanosuke even though their actors aren't scheduled to appear at the event. Shikanosuke is a particularly weird choice. Surely it would have made more sense to use Gyoubu or make an Azai couple uchiwa for the stage play fans to wave?

The goods will be sold at the Nippon Budoukan's Northwest Special Goods Tent starting from 10:30 to the end of the final performance on the day of the event (1st February 2015). Fans who don't have a ticket to Basara Matsuri are still welcome to turn up and buy goods, though quantities will be limited.
